Dear doctor, I am having combination skin recently I heard that using sandalwood oil helps your skin so I purchased them and applied later on my skin started having a burning sensation would like to know if this is normal? Or is there any specific way to apply essential oils? Or if this sandalwood oil is bad for skin?
Thank you for your question.
Did you apply Sandalwood oil on medical advice? Generally, it is used to make perfumes. It does not use the skin. Because it is an Aromatic oil. However, Sandalwood powder can be mixed with water and apply to the skin. It gives you a cooling effect to the skin. Aroma oils are not applied to the skin. So if you have an infection, seek medical attention immediately.
I hope we have helped you.
